Reverse logistics of post-consumption packaging

Everyone who works on Kimberly-Clark, participate in the program “Give a Hand to the Future”, Recycling - Work and Income, coordinated by ABIHPEC (Brazilian Association of Personal Hygiene, Perfumery and Cosmetics Industry) and carried out partnered with ABIPLA (Brazilian Association of the Cleaning Products and Alike Industries) and the ABIMAPI (Brazilian Association of Cookies, Pastas and Bread & Industrialized Cakes Industries).

The program is based upon the shared responsibility towards the products lifecycle and acts by supporting networks and cooperatives of recycled material collectors. It is being implemented on the Packaging Reverse Logistics area, with national coverage, in order to meet the Solid Wastes National Policy .

In 2017, the DAMF program enabled the forwarding of 111.721 tons of recyclable materials to recycling. In this year, 4.310 collectors were benefited by the Program, which was present in 8 states, 84 municipalities and 128 cooperatives!
